The Sony Ericsson S302

The S302 Snapshot is a quadband GSM phone with further support for EDGE networks, equipped with cheap camera-enabled. This new phone will be available in China (S302c) and Europe (S302).

With a fair 2 mega pixel camera (fixed focus), your shots won’t get past the snapshot-level, which is basically expected from a product with that as its surname. It features, however, more advanced camera interface as compared to the earlier Sony Ericsson phones. Taking into account it’s a low/mid-end solution, that’s not bad at all. On top of that, it’s got a photo light and it features PhotoFix as well.

You can be record your favorite moment on video but it's not in that great quality though. The internal memory is a little bit small which is only 20 megabytes. If you plan storing the whole album inside, you may want to expand the storage space by using a Memory Stick Micro card.

Photos and videos can be easily transferred via either Bluetooth 2.0 or USB 2.0. If you never think of using either of both, you can upload your images on a blog or FLickr or even print them directly with the built-in PictBridge support.

Other features worth mentioning are media player, a built-in FM radio support for various audio codecs, A2DP-support, PlayNow, the Access NetFront xHTML web browser and TrackID. The battery life is set to 7 hours of talk or 300 hours of standby. Its dimension is 101 x 46 x 11 (12) mm, and weighs only 79 grams. Its display is a 2-inch TFT-display with a resolution of 176 x 220 pixels.

The phone will be available in early 4th quarter of this year. The price is not yet to be known but it shouldn't that high.
