LG Arena KM900 Touchscreen Mobile Phone Officially Announced

We have seen the leaked information about the LG KM900 Touchscreen mobile phone last week but never heard any official announcement ever since but yesterday LG did it. LG KM900 is going to be showcased Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona this mid February. This device is claimed to come with several advanced features and interface which never seen before on any other mobile phones. With such claim from LG, mobile enthusiasts are waiting eagerly for the device to make its official appearance in few days' time.

The smartphone is powered by a unique 3D user interface with touch sensitivity which specifically designed for multimedia content viewing and browsing. A cube-based layout consists of four customizable home screens to easily access multimedia such as music, pictures, movies, and many more. LG KM900 Touchscreen will also be equipped with Dolby and DivX technologies which will further enhance the ARENA's multimedia features. With all aforementioned features included in this device, it's not an overstatement to call it a fully-fledged multimedia phone.

Speaking of connectivity, LG KM900 is enhanced with HSDPA 7.2 network and Wi-Fi. Other features include:

8MP Camera Samsung Pixon is Official

The 8 Mega Pixel (MP) handsets seem to be the new standard for most mobile phone makers with LG officially announced the KC-910, its successor to Viewty. This new brand phone features an 8 MP camera with of course, advanced photographic capabilities such as 120 fps video recording, manual focus, digital image stabilizer and blink detection.

Recently Samsung also officially announced their new device namely Samsung Pixon. The Samsung Pixon also features an 8 mega pixel camera with lot of similar features as the LG handset. Here are some of the features

The race is now shifting on getting High Definition (HD) on board after a full season of the Open Source mobile operating systems. Divx has been working around the clock to produce chips in order to realize this state-of-the-art feature and is expected to be in the market by next year.

While waiting for both products to be released on the market this October, the question remains whether they could be potentially a threat to the iPhone or the Google HTC G1.

LG KC780: Dubbed the thinnest 8 megapixel cameraphone

LG KC780 made an appearance some time ago as an almost indiscernible picture. Like any leaked images of cellphones, clearer better pics are sure to follow. Below is a press photo of the LG KC780 which is the closest competitor to the INNOV8 and recently spotted Samsung M8800 Pixon.

The official-looking promo shot of the rumored LG KC780 came along with the supposed confirmation and some details:

- the slimmest 8 MP camera phone to date
- offering quad-band GSM support
- limited touchscreen functionality.

No other details related on the 3G support, price tag etc as for now.

New LG Voyager in Titanium from Verizon

Verizon Wireless and LG today added the cool looking LG Voyager Titanium phone into their portfolio of touch-screen phones. The Titanium Voyager doesn’t bring too many new things when compared to the old black one (which, by the way, is now out of stock). The main difference (besides the color) is that the new Voyager comes with Verizon’s Visual Voice Mail and V CAST Music with Rhapsody services pre-installed. “Boasting the same stylish dual-screen design and features of its predecessor in black, the Voyager in Titanium has a lustrous titanium finish and also supports two of the hottest services from Verizon Wireless - V CAST Music with Rhapsody and Visual Voice Mail”

Verizon Wireless customers can access a library of more than 5 million songs with V CAST Music with Rhapsody, purchase full songs over-the-air and download the master copy of the songs to their PCs free of digital rights management software. Customers can also sync favorite tracks, albums and playlists from their PCs to their Titanium Voyagers using the included USB cable. Also, it looks as if Verizon has dropped the Visual Voice Mail subscription price to $2.99 a month per line. Visual Voice Mail allows customers to better manage their messages on their new Voyagers. Customers can delete, reply and forward voice mail messages without having to listen to prior messages or voice instructions. Visual Voice Mail is the ideal tool for the busy mobile professional who may need to prioritize which messages he or she listens to first. This is good, but we still would much rather Verizon offer the visual voice mail without a monthly fee at all. The LG Voyager in Titanium is available at the same price for $149.99 after a $50 rebate and a new two-year contract.

New LG Invision Mobile TV handset launched by AT&T

Today LG Electronics and AT&T Inc have announced the launch of LG Invision, this gives mobile users the best in video on their cell phones. LG Invision may be the 3rd phone to offer AT&T Mobile TV, but it is also the smallest Mobile TV phone in the United States.

The LG Invision features a size of less than one-half an inch thick, 2 inches wide and 4 inches tall. Other features include a 1.3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth 2.0, XM Radio Mobile, 3G, stereo audio support and lets users watch TV programming on a crystal-clear screen.

Programmes include NBC2GO, FOX Mobile, ESPN Mobile TV, CBS Mobile and users also get the ability of Video Share calling. The Invision lets users download music fast thanks to AT&T Mobile Music, which provides access to streaming digital radio, any unrestricted MP3 audio file and Napster To Go.

LG brings the sweetness to Verizon with the new LG Chocolate 3, a clamshell music phone. On the outside, this slim handset sports a control wheel and dual speakers for better music enjoyment. A built-in FM transmitter on the inside allows you to stream your music through any FM radio, and the handset offers 1GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot for even more expansion.

The LG Chocolate 3 uses a 2 megapixel camera for capturing pictures and also supports Verizon's EV-DO 3G network for high-speed data. Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP stereo support makes this V CAST Music Store handset a strong portable music player, as well. V CAST Video and ESPN MVP are also available, rounding out the incredible abilities of this slim clamshell.
