Apple just announced firmware 2.1 for the iPhone and iPod touch and it's claimed that no more crashes will ever occur with the new update. This new update brings enormous improvements on the overall performances which include the promise of fewer dropped calls, big battery improvement, and faster backups. Fewer dropped calls - 40 percent of Wired.com readers report that they're getting fewer dropped calls than they did before the update.
Increased 3G download speeds - Donovan Lewis, the administrator of Test My iPhone reported that more iPhone users enjoy better better download speed after the upgrade with the occasions of people getting speed between 100kbps - 300kbps is fewer after the update.
