GN has launched the Jabra BT2050 Bluetooth headset with a simple design - and simple price tag of £20. With the design centred around an "elegant" silver disk, the BT2050 offers two wearing styles - with or without earhook - and comes in two sizes.
Offering automatic pairing, call ending by touching the disk and up to 4 hours talk time, the features are as light as its 8 gram weight. Measuring just over 4cm in length, the BT2050 is available now from O2 stores across the country priced at approximately £19.99.
After much leaking of information, Nokia's N96 slider cellphone is now official. It's a quad-band, US 3G-enabled (WCDMA) phone with a 2.8-inch screen, 16GB of built-in memory, a 5-megapixel Carl-Zeiss Tessar lens, A-GPS and 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi. The media-player functions of the phone get their own dedicated slide-out keypad, as we knew. It's due out in the last quarter of the year, and pricing is estimated by Nokia at around $810. Nokia today fulfilled a promise from earlier this month with two new Nseries devices both aimed at driving down the cost of getting into full smartphones. The N85 as flagship appears set to replace the N81 and upgrades the camera from two to five megapixels, also adding GPS both for mapping and for geotagging shots. It also switches to a 2.6-inch AMOLED screen that should supply richer color and as much as 28 hours of music playback on a single charge.
Like the N81, the N85 slider is considered an N-Gage friendly phone and has controls suited to playing games from Nokia's service in landscape view. Music is also an emphasis, though the handset maker has opted against the built-in storage of the N81 8GB and instead bundles an 8GB microSDHC card, giving owners the option of an upgrade to 16GB or beyond in the future. Internet access is supplied either through HSDPA-based 3G or through Wi-Fi, though international support isn't yet known.
The N79 in turn replaces the N78 from just months earlier and upgrades the camera from 3.2 to five megapixels, also using a dual-LED based flash; Nokia is marketing the device as a fashion phone with swappable back covers that change the look to reflect its owner's tastes. The candybar design also has the full 3G, GPS, and Wi-Fi feature set and lasts for up to 24 hours of music. A 4GB microSD card gives it more storage than the earlier handset.
In contrast to some Nokia phone introductions, the company plans a quick release and should make both the N79 and N85 available in the UK as of next month. Releases for Europe and other areas are likely to vary, though both the N79 and N81 have been available in the US as unlocked devices. Read more..
T-Mobile will be offering the Sony Ericsson TM506 3G handset to the masses, just in time for folks who live in areas where 3G service is available from T-Mobile. The TM506 might not be a high-end handset, but it already comes with an UMTS antenna along with the following specifications :-

Also known as KickStart and SeaWolf respectively, these handsets made a brief appearance on a pre-order page while showing off handset specifications that include the following :-

Today LG Electronics and AT&T Inc have announced the launch of LG Invision, this gives mobile users the best in video on their cell phones. LG Invision may be the 3rd phone to offer AT&T Mobile TV, but it is also the smallest Mobile TV phone in the United States.
The LG Invision features a size of less than one-half an inch thick, 2 inches wide and 4 inches tall. Other features include a 1.3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth 2.0, XM Radio Mobile, 3G, stereo audio support and lets users watch TV programming on a crystal-clear screen.
